LAMB OF GOD Bassist Interviewed On WGRD 97.9 FM (Audio)
November 3, 2012Ned of the WGRD 97.9 FM radio station in Grand Rapids, Michigan recently conducted an interview with bassist John Campbell of Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.
LAMB OF GOD was forced to cancel its performance at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada this past Thursday night (November 1) after the band's lead singer, Randy Blythe, was taken ill.
After support act IN FLAMES played an extended set, the members of LAMB OF GOD minus Randy walked out onto the stage and apologized to the crowd, explaining that the show was being rescheduled for December 12 and that the tickets will still be valid.
Blythe was released from a prison in Prague on August 2, more than a month after he was arrested and incarcerated. Blythe was facing the possibility of conviction and a long-term jail sentence after a 2010 incident in which a fan attending a LAMB OF GOD show died almost a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained when he was thrown off the stage. Blythe's predicament galvanized the heavy rock community, with artists across the hard rock genre pledging their support.
LAMB OF GOD is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Resolution", which sold around 52,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"Resolution" was released in the U.S. via Epic and internationally through Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at various studios in Virginia and New York with producer Josh Wilbur, who worked on the band's last effort, 2009's "Wrath".
